From November 22nd – 25th 2017 the annual meeting of the Egyptian Society for Vascular Biology and Atherosclerosis (EAVA), an associated member of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS) took place in Hurghada. For the first time we had a joint session with our society there.

The program comprised:

Joint session between the Egyptian and German Atherosclerosis Society (DGAF)

Anti-inflammatory Therapy of Atherosclerosis – from Hope to Reality with Canakinumab and co.

The session about the cardiovascular high risk patient was an absolute success with more than 150 attendees. Subsequently we agreed on a long term cooperation, this is why we will have a second joint session with EAVA on our national conference in Rauischholzhausen in 2018.
